Introducing Marvel Movie Monday’s

Starting September 14, 2020, DCO Movie club will be hosting Marvel Movie Mondays. Every Monday for the next 23 weeks, we will be showing The MCU films in chronological order based on the MCU timeline. This follows a different timeline than the order of the films were released and tells the story it would happen if we existed in that world.
Be sure to stay tuned for updates and news via social media and right here, on our news page. Feel free to follow along with the timeline above!

Rest in Peace: Chadwick Boseman

On August 28, 2020, the world received unfortunate news of the passing of Chadwick Aaron Boseman. He was most known for his role as T’Challa in Marvel’s Black Panther/MCU movies but also played great historical figures in biopics, such as; James Brown, Thurgood Marshall and Jackie Robinson.

Upon his passing, his estate released a message via social media stating that he had passed from colon cancer, which he was initially diagnosed with in 2016. By then, it was already in stage 3 and had progressed to stage 4 this year.
A few months before his passing, fans began to worry about his health when he took to social media to post a message about Jackie Robinson day and was noticeably slimmer compared to his days as Black Panther just a couple years prior. No information was released of his condition until his passing.

In honor of his legacy, DCO Movie club will pay tribute by highlighting and screening some of his greatest films this week. Feel free to share with family and invite them to join as we celebrate the life of Chadwick Boseman.
